Internet sekarang menjadi daya tarik tersendiri bagi setiap operator selular dalam mempromosikan layanannya. Ada yang berani memberikan layanan akses gratis sebanyak 1-5mb perhari bagi yang ingin akses internet via jaringan selular/mobile. Salah satu cara untuk mengetahui seberapa besar jumlah pemakaian internet adalah dengan menggunakan tools network analyzer yang dapat mengukur dan mengcapture berapa besar jumlah paket pemakaian internet. Wireshark adalah salah satu dari sekian banyak tools Network Analyzer yang banyak digunakan oleh Network administrator untuk menganalisa kinerja jaringan. Wireshark mudah digunakan karena tampilan grafisnya.

Dapat diperhatikan berapa jumlah ukuran paket yang terkirim via internet, sebagai contoh ditampilkan paket pengiriman e-mail dengan attachment. Semua paket data atau informasi yang melewati interface LAN/Ethernet Card akan dicapture dan ditampilkan dalam layar utama Wireshark. Sumber dan Tujuan Pengiriman Paket, Protokol yang digunakan, serta waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk transfer paket.

Popup window sering dijumpai saat akses internet ketika membuka halaman web. Buat sebagian orang ini sangat mengganggu karena bisa menghabiskan resource komputer karena prosesnya yang selalu berulang-ulang dari ukuran yang kecil sampai seukuran layar monitor. Buat sebagian orang yang lain justru menguntungkan jika web yang diakses menampilkan pesan komersil (walaupun menggangu).
Disini akan ditampilkan script dengan javascript untuk menampilkan popup window yang akan muncul secara rekursif secara otomatis saat membuka halaman web.

KPU atau Komisi Pemilihan Umum merupakan salah satu lembaga yang paling disorot beberapa waktu belakangan ini karena kinerjanya dan juga daya tariknya bagi beberapa orang yang ingin mengetahui seperti apa sistem yang ada dibalik KPU, terutama sistem ITnya (yang kata orang-orang MAHAL)
Di blog ini saya akan menampilkan bagaimana cara untuk melihat sistem IT yang digunakan oleh KPU. Untuk dapat melihat informasinya bisa dicari via situs netcraft.com, hasilnya bisa dilihat pada gambar dibawah ini:

Gambar diatas adalah inforamsi tentang server dan sistem operasi yang digunakan oleh KPU untuk situs http://kpu.go.id/. Selain itu KPU juga memiliki situs lain dengan informasi yang hampir sama dengan alamat http://www.kpu.go.id/ kecuali tanggal update server, dengan tampilan informasi seperti gambar berikut:

  • Web server yang digunakan oleh KPU adalah nginx/0.6.35 dan Apache/2.2.9.
  • Sistem operasi yang digunakan oleh KPU adalah FreeBSD

Dari informasi yang disampaikan ini dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa untuk mengetahui sistem yang digunakan oleh KPU tidak harus menggunakan jasa hacker cukup menggunakan jasa situs pencari seperti netcraft.com.

Email atau e-mail adalah singkatan untuk Electronic Mail, atau dalam bahasa Indonesia berarti surat elektronik. Halaman kamus di Wikipedia Indonesia memberikan sebuah kosa kata baru sebagai singkatan dalam bahasa Indonesia, yaitu surel. Namun dalam tulisan ini saya akan tetap menggunakan kata email karena kita memang familiar dengan kata “email”.
Email dari mulai ditulis, dikirim, hingga diterima dan dibaca semuanya ditangani secara elektronis. Umumnya email dibuat (atau ditulis) menggunakan Mail User Agent (MUA) lebih umum dikenal sebagai Email client, kemudian proses pengiriman ditangani oleh Mail Transfer Agent (MTA) yang sering juga disebut sebagai mail server. MUA juga digunakan untuk membuka dan membaca email kembali.
Alamat diperlukan dalam proses pengiriman email. Namun tidak seperti alamat surat yang lazim kita gunakan. Sistem pengalamatan pada email menggunakan format identitas dan domain yang digabung menggunakan karakter @ (at, dibaca et). Misalnya email saya adalah saya@yahoo.com. Artinya email bernama saya provider yang digunakan adalah yahoo.com sehingga alamat lengkap email adalah penggabungan nama dengan penyedia tersebut yang dibatasi oleh karakter @.

Berikut ditampilkan contoh source email yang dibaca menggunakan Mozilla Thunderbird, email ini memuat dua attachment file berbeda, file  yang pertama berupa file dokumen dalam format (.doc) dan file yang kedua adalah gambar dalam format (.jpg), untuk isi source email dan attachment dapat diperhatikan memiliki nomor id yang acak.
